• Fee payment, which can be made at a Banco Metropolitano in Cuba
• As of December 31st, 2018, a biometrics profile (photo and fingerprints)

Visitors from Cuba, who have children must also provide birth certificates and identity cards for their children, regardless of whether or not the child/children are travelling with them to Canada. 

Cubans Visiting Family or Friends in Canada 

Aside from the temporary visa application and required documents, Cubans visiting Canada to see family or friends must submit a letter of invitation from Canada that includes a detailed description of their visit, their full name, contact information, immigration status, and the signature of the person who issued the invitation.

Cubans Visiting Canada for Work 

If you are visiting Canada for business, you will need a work permit. To achieve this, the following letters must be included with the temporary visa application and prerequisites specified above:

A letter from their employer that describes the applicant's position within the firm, the purpose of their trip, the reason for selecting the applicant for the trip, the length of their stay in Canada, and the source of money for the trip.

A letter from the host indicating the reason(s) for the business trip, the source of financial resources for the trip, and the justification for the applicant's selection

Cubans Visiting Canada for School 

Cubans traveling Canada with the intention of studying at a Canadian educational institution must acquire both a study permit and a temporary residency visa. The supporting materials for this application are:

An formal acceptance letter from the school in question.

Certificate of studies

Proof of financial ability to finance education, lodgings, and living costs while in Canada.

If applicable, a medical examination.
