Travelers must pass a rigorous background check and interview process in order to be granted a NEXUS card. Enhanced Drivers License (EDL)

The Enhanced Driver's License, which is available in Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington, serves as both identification and proof of citizenship for land and sea travel between the United States and Canada.
