Do Danish citizens need a visa for Canada?
No. Danish citizens do not need a Canadian visa to visit Canada. Instead, you must register online with the eTA system.
The eTA allows visa-free visits for purposes:
- A sightseeing tour
- Leisure
- A family visit
- A business trip
A Danish citizen with a Canadian eTA may travel to Canada several times during the five years when the travel permit is valid. The Canada eTA is available to travelers with a Danish passport. Danishers with different types of passports may need a visa.
For other reasons or long-term travel to Canada, it should be noted that the Canadian eTA for Danish citizens does not apply. For additional information, contact the Canadian Consulate in Denmark.
Danish citizens need a Canadian visa if:
- To relocate to Canada
- Accepting a job in Canada
- To study
- To engage in other activities not covered by the eTA
- Staying in Canada for more than six months.
