• Advance Declaration: This is the preferred method, and you may do it online using the ArriveCAN app up to 72 hours before your aircraft lands in Canada. It enables you to submit your customs and immigration declarations electronically, potentially saving time at the border. 
• Declaration Card: This is the conventional paper form that may be completed on the plane or at the airport upon arrival. However, it is often seen as slower and less convenient than utilizing ArriveCAN. 

Even if you complete an Advance Declaration, you may be required to submit a physical copy of your declaration or answer extra questions upon arrival in Canada. It's usually a good idea to be prepared, with your travel documents and any necessary information readily available.
