Do Latvian citizens need a visa to visit Canada?

Yes. Latvian nationals can travel to Canada if they hold an eTA. Travelers can submit their eTA applications online. When the application is accepted, passengers will get their eTA confirmation electronically.

An eTA is electronically connected to a passport and is valid for a maximum of five years. If passengers acquire a new passport, they must apply for a new eTA.

A valid eTA is necessary for boarding the aircraft. Travelers will be unable to board their aircraft if their eTA has expired or does not match the information in their passport.

Most applications are granted in about 15 minutes. Governments do not guarantee processing schedules, so submit your application as soon as possible.

You will receive your Canadian eTA as soon as it is granted, and we will notify you quickly if there are any concerns.
