How can I check my ETA status for Canada?

Applicants are alerted by email every time their Canada ETA status changes.

First, when a traveler applies for a Canada ETA, they will receive a confirmation email. This email confirms that your request has been received and will be considered shortly.

Travelers are not required to take any more action at this time. The application has been successfully submitted and is pending review.

Once the Canada ETA has been processed, the applicant's status is updated and they receive another email. This email notifies the passenger whether their electronic authorization has been accepted or rejected. Travelers can check your visa status on our portal, however; the function is only used for who has applied to us.

What can I do if I have still not received my ETA?

Typically, the Canada ETA is authorized within three days; however, if the applicant has yet to get an update on its progress, you should contact the government to know your status of visa progress.
