How to Pay for a Canada eTA Online?
You can pay for a Canada eTA online after completing the application form. The Government of Canada currently accepts several credit, debit, and prepaid card options for the eTA application fee. The payment is made immediately after you complete the online form.
What Payment Methods Can I Use for a Canada eTA?
At Canada eTA Services, we offer three ways to pay for your Canada eTA application. Your total payment covers two separate charges: our service fee (for preparing, reviewing, and submitting your application) and the Government of Canada processing fee, which is required for every eTA application regardless of how you apply.
Paying Through Canada Immigration Services
If you choose to apply for a Canada eTA through Canada Immigration Services, the amount you pay may include the Government of Canada's eTA fee plus a separate service fee.
Our service may offer additional payment options for the service fee, including:
1. Credit or Debit Card
You may pay our service fee online using an accepted credit or debit card. The available card options and payment instructions will be shown during the payment process.
2. PayPal
If available for your order, you may use PayPal to pay our service fee. PayPal payments are separate from the Government of Canada's eTA fee.
3. Bank Transfer
Bank transfer may also be available for our service fee. Contact our support team for the current payment instructions before making a transfer.
The payment method you use for our service does not change the Canadian government's eTA requirements or guarantee approval. The final decision on an eTA application is made by the Government of Canada.
When Do I Pay for the Canada eTA?
Payment is made after you complete the online eTA application form. The application cannot be saved, so have your passport, email address, and payment method ready before you begin.
After completing the form, you will be directed to the payment step. Once payment is completed, you will receive an email confirming your eTA application.
Can Someone Else Pay for My Canada eTA?
Yes. The card used to pay for an eTA does not have to be in the applicant's name. For example, a family member, friend, or representative can use their own eligible card to pay for the application. The cardholder's name does not need to match the applicant's name.
However, each person must have their own eTA application, and the applicable fee is paid for each applicant.
