Is my eTA still valid if my passport has expired/changed?

The ETA is no longer valid if the traveler's passport has expired or has been changed for any other reason. In other cases, if you worry about your passport expiring after completing the Canada ETA. This is not going to happen because one of the requirements for applying for a Canada e-visa is that your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of first entry.

To be qualified for a Canada ETA, travelers must fulfill some basic requirements, as follows:

Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of issue. For a visa stamp, the passport must have more than two blank pages. If your passport is about to expire, you should visit the Immigration Department to obtain a replacement.
