Is the Canadian ETA the same as a Canada Visa?
No, it’s not the same. The Canada ETA is a travel authorization, not a Paper Visa. However, it’s the only thing you need if your nationality is under the Canadian visa-free policy.
Canada ETA is necessary for short-term visits only. Should you want to work or live in Canada long-term, then you might need a Visa and a permit
Since the ETA is not a visa, you won’t need many things to get it online. All you have to do is to meet the following items:
- Biometric passports do not expire once you arrive in Canada.
- A debit or credit card to pay for documents. You can also use Credit or Debit Card, PayPal, Visa, Amex, or Mastercard.
- Finally, you will need a valid email address to get your documents on time.
