What is Oakville known for?
Nestled on the banks of Lake Ontario, between Toronto and Niagara, the charming town of Oakville is recognized for its stunning harbors, bustling shopping districts, busy arts scene, and some of the greatest eating options in the GTA.

Oakville is noted for its many parks and gardens. Specifically, Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a popular year-round attraction. The region is 6.4 square kilometers, making it easier to socially separate oneself.
2. Tour the Golf Hall of Fame
The Golf Hall of Fame is undoubtedly one of Oakville's most well-known attractions. This little museum is a wonderful site to learn about the history of golf in Canada and to view old documents and golf records
3. Explore downtown Oakville
Downtown Oakville, often known as Old Oakville by locals, is located in southern Oakville along Lake Ontario. While the neighborhoods aren't as bustling this year as they typically are, this location is ideal for sightseeing and taking wonderful photos of the city.
It seems like a small hamlet, and there are plenty of fantastic restaurants serving delicious Canadian cuisine.
4. Enjoy a Beautiful Scenic Hike
The Trans Canada Trail covers the full length of Oakville's lake coast and is one of the greatest places to go hiking and cycling.
There are a few vehicle parks along the Oakville section of the path, but there are no rest spots or restrooms, so come prepared!

Oakville, like many excellent Canadian communities, is close to many Christmas light sites. The Royal Botanical Gardens and Spencer Smith Park in Burlington both feature seasonal light exhibits that you can wander through and enjoy.
