What type of information do I need to complete an eTA application?
You will need to supply biographic information from your passport. This contains your full name, date and place of birth, gender, residence, nationality, and passport number. You will also be asked a few basic background questions to assess whether you are eligible to enter Canada. For example, you will be questioned about your present work and whether you have any medical conditions.
Most travelers require a visa or a Canada Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through a Canadian airport.
Make sure to have all this information ready before you start your application to ensure a smooth process. Remember, the eTA is linked electronically to your passport, so it’s crucial that your passport is valid for the duration of your stay in Canada.
If you do not have the necessary paperwork, such as an eTA or visa, you may be delayed or denied boarding your aircraft to Canada. Before applying, find out check Canada ETA requirements.
