Who qualifies for eTA Canada?
According to the Canadian visa rule, only nationals coming from the country who are included in the exempt visa list can apply for Canada eTA. If your country belongs to this exempt visa list, you are eligible to apply for an eTA and need to have an eTA to enter Canada legally. A checklist can be found here.
To ensure a smooth process, the applicants must make sure that they meet the Canada eTA requirements for international travelers. Here are the required documents that travelers need to prepare:
- Applicants' passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have more than 2 blank pages for visa implanted.
- Photograph of the applicant, which was taken in the last 6 months.
- Passport Personal Information Scan, which is not missing any lines.
- Having a valid debit or credit card to make payments without getting out.
- An email address is required.
Travelers can apply for Canada eTA for different purposes, including tourism and business. It is valid for five years after the date of entry. Travelers with this multiple-entry ETA can stay in Canada for a maximum of 180 days for each visit.
