Do Singaporeans have to apply for an ETA each time they travel to Canada?
The answer is No. One of the great advantages of eTA Canada is that it is multiple entries, allowing Singaporeans to re-enter Canada multiple times. A Canada eTA for Singaporean citizens has a validity of up to 05 years; thus, Singaporeans can travel to and remain in Canada within this validity period without reapplying for an ETA. However, because the eTA is conveniently linked to the passport, it is not possible to transfer it from one document to another. That means if a Singapore passport expires before the eTA, a new travel authorization must be requested along with the new passport.
In order to be considered for the eTA, Singaporeans need to complete the following 4 steps of the straightforward online application form:
- Step 1: Complete the application by providing your personal information, including your contact information, passport data, and travel plans.
- Step 2: Submit the required fee along with your application. To complete the procedure, we require that you submit some supporting papers after making a payment.
- Step 3: Keep an eye out for a confirmation email from us, and do not forget to consider processing time. After that, you'll receive an email with your Canada eTA.
- Step 4: Please print the eTA that we just emailed you. Your passport will be stamped as confirmation of arrival.
Keep in mind that your visa will be delivered by email after it has been granted. Remember to download and print your visa on the paper provided at the airport board before you travel.
