How long can British citizens stay in Canada with an eTA?
An ETA for Canada from the UK is valid for up to 05 years, with multiple entries permitted. British citizens who hold an approved eTA are allowed to stay max 180 days for each stay. However, Canadian Border Officials will determine the exact length of time upon arrival and will usually stamp the duration on an applicant's passport.
In addition, British citizens have to prepare some required documents to obtain Canada eTA in time for their trip:
- The British passport is valid for at least six months from the arrival date in Canada.
- A scan of the passport’s biographical page.
- Debit or credit card to make a payment.
- The current email address.
