Are there any restrictions on the Canada eTA for Hong Kong citizens?
The answer is NO. However, Hong Kong citizens need to take note of the following eligibilities, if they want to apply for Canada visa for Hong Kong citizens effectively:
- Your country is on the exempt visa list of Canada or your own US green card can apply for an eTA.
- You need to apply for a new eTA if you change your passport. Because your eTA is electronically connected to your national passport. Per eTA will be valid for up to 05 years or until the passport's expiration date, whichever is shorter.
- Your Canada eTA is only applied to airlines.
- The Canada eTA is a multiple-entry visa.
- The permitted duration of visiting is 06 months for tourism, pleasure, visiting family, business trip, and conference purposes.
- Nationals of Hong Kong have to demonstrate they are over 18 to apply. If not, their parents or guardians do it instead.
If eligibility requirements do not match your demands, you can consider applying for a regular visa at the Canadian Embassy.
