Do EU residents need a visa for Canada?
NO. All EU nationals are visa-exempt for stays of up to six months, but they must submit an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before flying to Canada. An eTA is a simple online application that is good for five years. If you're flying to Canada, you must have a valid eTA before boarding.
The Canada ETA permits a generous maximum stay of 180 days per entry. This prolonged stay guarantees visitors enough time in Canada for activities such as leisure exploration, family visits, business commitments, or attending educational programs.
EU citizens can apply for a Canada ETA online through our website. The online application process through Canada Immigration Services is user-friendly and easy, taking less than 15 minutes to complete!
