Do I just need an eTA for Canada?
Most people require a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to visit Canada, but not both.
Most visitors to Canada for short-term stays (less than six months) will need a tourist visa, also known as a temporary residence visa (Temporary Resident Visa - TRV). However, citizens of some countries may only need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) instead of a visa. Fortunately, Thai citizens can apply for an eTA if they want to enter Canada.
The Canadian eTA is a multiple-entry authorization which means that travelers may visit Canada as many times as necessary using the same eTA as long as it remains valid.
This may be very useful for business individuals who need to make frequent journeys to Canada, as the eTA is valid for both business and tourism purposes.
If the passport linked to the eTA becomes invalid, the eTA cannot be used for subsequent entries into Canada. In such cases, a new eTA must be obtained with a renewed passport. It’s important to note that any visit to Canada must not exceed the maximum limit of 180 days.
