What are the types of Canada eTA for Japanese citizens?
The Canada Immigration Services offers Japanese citizens a Canada tourist eTA for tourism, visiting family, and leisure purposes. For this type of eTA, Japanese passport holders can stay in Canada for up to 180 days on each trip. It is electronically connected to your national passport and is valid for five years or until your passport expires, whichever date comes first. If you change your passport, you have to apply for a new eTA.
By the way, Japanese citizens should prepare some required documents as soon as they can to avoid problems and solve them in time for their trip:
- The passport is valid for at least six months from the arrival date in Canada.
- A scan or copy of the passport’s biographical page.
- Payment can be made by debit or credit card.
- The current email address.
Please contact us if you have any questions. Our 24/7 service will answer all your questions. Hope you soon get your Canada eTA.
