Do Slovak citizens need a visa to visit Canada?
No. Slovaks don’t need a visa to enter Canada. Beginning in 2015, Slovak citizens without valid visas will be required to get an eTA before flying to Canada. The government of Canada has implemented a new entrance requirement, an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), for visa-exempt foreign nationals traveling to or transiting Canada by air.
Visa-exempt foreign nationals entering Canada by air are required to have an eTA. Your Canada eTA will be valid for up to 5 years or until the expiry of your passport.
Applicants from Slovakia must supply personal and passport information, as well as contact information. Applicants must also answer a few basic questions about their past, including medical history.
Once accepted, the Canada eTA for Slovak citizens is connected electronically to the traveler's passport.
If you already hold a valid consular visa for Canada, you don't need to apply for an eTA.
