No. If you apply for an initial work permit before traveling to Canada, you won't need to apply for an ETA separately. An eTA is a mandatory entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals who are flying to or transiting through Canada. It is important to note that only travelers from countries that do not require a visa to visit Canada are required to obtain an eTA, and this applies only if they are traveling to Canada by air. 356 . Can I get a 10-year visa for Canada?

At Canadian Immigration Services, we only provide a Canadian eTA for 5 years. Currently, we do not offer services for a 10-year visa for Canada. However, here is some useful information about the Canadian e visa 10 years for your reference:  Starting February 6, 2014, visitors to Canada will be automatically assessed for multiple-entry visas, or temporary resident visas (TRVs), which grant qualified visitors multiple entries for up to six months per visit over a 10-year period. The TRVs were initially introduced in 2011 and are available to low-risk travelers from visa-required countries. With a ten-year multiple-entry visa, foreign nationals can travel to Canada multiple times within the validity period without the need to apply for a new visa each time they visit. Therefore, you are highly advised to arrive in Canada on or before the expiry date indicated on your visa. Suppose a foreign national is already in Canada, and their authorized entry period is about to end, they can apply for an extension of their visitor status. This can be done as long as they can prove that they intend to leave Canada upon the completion of their stay.
